Thomas Payne
Mr. Payne holds a master's degree in education and education leadership from Texas State University and has more than 13 years of experience as a school administrator at the elementary, middle and high school levels, including 6 years as a principal. He has enjoyed multiple assignments in the state of Texas, most recently serving as Administrative Officer with the Department of Defense's Alconbury Elementary/Middle High School in Huntingdon, England.

Rebecca Sims
Becki has been an educator since 2005, serving in various capacities in grades K-12. The majority of her experience is in District 49, where she has served as a classroom teacher, Dean of Students, Assistant Principal, and Interim Principal At the district level, Becki previously served on the district’s Math Leadership Team and Restorative Practices Leadership Team. In addition to Becki’s teaching and leadership experience within the district, she has earned a Master’s in Education with a concentration in Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix, where she was a Teacher Appreciation Scholarship award winner. She also earned her Educational Leadership and Principal Licensure designation from Colorado State University.
Becki is a Missouri native, but has resided in the Colorado Springs area for over half of her life and considers Colorado home. She loves to cook, camp, hike, and explore trails in Colorado's backcountry and has recently taken up golf. She and her husband have three young adult children and enjoy spending time with them as often as possible.
Becki first joined the Vista Ridge team in 2021. Go Wolves!

Daniel Jordan
Dan Jordan is an accomplished educator with twenty-nine years of experience, currently serving as the Assistant Principal at Vista Ridge High School. With a strong foundation in the classroom, Mr. Jordan spent twenty-three years teaching before advancing into leadership. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Colorado Mesa University and a Master's degree from Northern Arizona University. Additionally, he is a James Madison Fellow, having studied at Georgetown University, and possesses a Professional Degree from Colorado State University. Mr. Jordan specializes in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for both students and teachers.

Edward McGee
Eddy McGee has been an educator since 2003. He began his career teaching 6th Grade in Harrison School District Two. Over the following years, Eddy taught students in a variety of grades, and supervised student teachers from various colleges in the region. By 2013, Eddy became an instructional coach for Teach For America and supported numerous teachers(K-12) in the Pikes Peak region. Along the way, Eddy collaborated with local professional athletes on a growth mindset coaching curriculum for young athletes. In addition, Eddy has coached at Harrison High School and the Rush Soccer Club. After a couple more years, Eddy became an IB Coordinator and an Assistant Principal. He has been in District 49 since 2016.

Melissa Hernandez
Melissa joined the Vista admin team during the 23-24 school year. She is a Colorado Springs native and is proud to be a part of such a great community the majority of her life. She went to college at California State University, Fullerton (GO TITANS), majored in Child and Adolescent Development, and met her husband who is also an educator at a neighboring high school. They have 3 very active, amazing daughters who keep them on their toes!
She recived her administration license and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from UCCS. Melissa is passionate about helping students to find their pathway to success after high school. She is excited to be part of the VR family. Go Wolves!
